Lindsay Brooke McLaughlin, 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher from Core Power Yoga in San Diego, Certified Adaptive Yoga Teacher (40 hour), SUP Yoga Certified (40 hour), PSIA Level 1 Certified (Professional Ski Instructors of America), founder of “Sierra Yoga”, an outdoor yoga organization which includes SUP Yoga, Hiking Yoga, Yoga in the Park, Skiing Yoga and Yoga Campouts in the Eastern Sierra.  She is also currently in the middle of a Yoga therapy training with the Wisdom Method School of Yoga to become a Yoga therapist.

Yoga History

Lindsay began practicing yoga in 2004 after making a major change in her life and turned to fitness.  She immediately fell in love with the practice of yoga and a couple years later attended a yoga teacher training in San Diego influenced by Baron Baptise.  It was then that she started to answer her calling of teaching and sharing yoga with others.  She began teaching Yoga in the Park in Mammoth Lakes, CA and created adventures such as Yoga Campouts and Hiking Yoga.  In the winter Lindsay volunteers with disabled ski racers teaching Adaptive Yoga.  By attending workshops with teachers such as Rolf Gates, Bryan Kest, David Swenson, Matthew Sanford, Kino McGregor, Kellie Adkins and Julie Duff, Lindsay is able to deepen her practice and knowledge and continue to grow and learn along with her students.

Outdoor History

Growing up in Montana and Florida, Lindsay has been surrounded by the beauty of the great outdoors all her life.  She started skiing at age 8 and then started teaching skiing in her 20′s.  Living in Winter Park, CO she was introduced to disabled skiing at NSCD (National Sports Center for the Disabled).  She taught recreational disabled skiing for a couple winters and then traveled with the disabled athletes to ski races teaching them yoga. Lindsay now lives full time in Mammoth Lakes, CA where she gets to explore the Eastern Sierra practicing yoga, hiking, biking, camping, dancing, adventuring and paddleboarding!
